Description
Springfield Township is soliciting a single-prime construction contractor for a new equipment storage building at its township facility. The work includes site excavation, cast-in-place concrete, rough carpentry, shop-fabricated wood roof trusses, vapor retarders, formed metal wall and roof panels, soffits and flashing, hollow-metal man doors, sectional overhead doors, door hardware, exterior painting, electrical work, erosion and sediment controls, driveway and concrete apron work, and turf restoration. The attached plans identify the project site, proposed site improvements, utility coordination, accessibility details, and clean-fill requirements. Bidders must submit the furnished bid forms, 10 percent bid security, evidence of authority to do business in Pennsylvania or a written commitment to obtain it, a bidder qualification statement, a notarized non-collusion affidavit, and the Public Works Employment Verification Form. Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements and Act 127 E-Verify compliance apply. The successful contractor must furnish 100 percent performance and payment bonds and required insurance after award. The contract provides for substantial and final completion within 150 calendar days after the Contract Times commence, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delay.
