Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from a contractor holding a current C-10 Electrical Contractor license to provide routine and non-routine electrical maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, and retrofit services. The scope includes annual preventive maintenance for 18 electrical distribution panels and two transfer switches; routine and emergency service requests; electrical system repairs; panel, wiring, breaker, conduit, lighting, power-distribution, grounding, and control-device work; testing and thermographic inspections; and related parts, materials, permits, travel, and incidentals. The agreement is estimated to run from February 1, 2027, through January 31, 2030, subject to approval. The total bid proposal may not exceed $484,000.00. The contractor must have an office within 100 miles of the Caltrans District 2 office, respond to routine requests within 48 hours, respond to non-routine calls within two hours, and begin non-routine work within 24 hours. Subcontracting is not permitted. Prevailing-wage requirements apply when the total bid exceeds $15,000, and the successful bidder must later provide required payment bonding and insurance documentation.
