Description
The City of Edinburg Solid Waste Department is soliciting competitive sealed bids for labor, materials, and equipment to refurbish existing commercial metal waste containers to like-new condition and fabricate new roll-off units. Work includes structural floor and sidewall replacement, fork-pocket reconstruction, hinge and pin replacement, roller service, door realignment, gasket replacement, sandblasting, priming, industrial enamel coating, and related repairs. New units must meet specified A36 steel, structural tubing, and continuous MIG-welding standards, as well as applicable ANSI dimensional requirements. This is a unit-price solicitation covering container repairs and refurbishment, certified welding labor, pickup and delivery, and fabrication of 20-, 30-, and 40-yard roll-off units. Refurbished units require a minimum 90-day warranty on structural repairs, while new fabrication requires a one-year warranty against material defects. Bidders must provide three references for contracts performed within the last five years and complete the required questionnaire, disclosure, verification, affidavit, pricing, and insurance submissions. Addendum 1 changes the unit of measure for Line 14 from a 30-yard unit to a 40-yard unit.
