Description
Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division, is soliciting high-purity 6061 aluminum intermediate products: round stock, rectangular bar stock, and aluminum sheet in specified quantities and dimensions. The contractor must perform nonrecurring engineering to produce 6061-T6 alloy meeting strict trace-element limits, produce at least five tons of alloy, fabricate the specified products, and provide alternatives only with buyer approval. The scope includes material and dimensional compliance with ASTM B209-21, ANSI H35.2:2024, and AMS4027P; T6 temper for coils and T651 temper for bar stock; packaging on fiber-enclosed skids; product marking and traceability; visual, tensile, impurity, and third-party laboratory testing; and electronic reports, certificates of conformance, certified analyses, representative samples, and inspection documentation. Proposals must include a technical proposal with a compliance cross-reference, pricing using the provided pricing form, completed representations and certifications, and the applicable ECCN or ITAR classification. Delivery is required by June 25, 2027, and award is expected to be firm fixed price based on the lowest-priced technically compliant offer.
