Description
The Board seeks a consultant to develop and implement a communications and community engagement strategy for a proposed new middle school and its associated public approval process. Work includes reviewing existing project materials; developing key messages, audiences, communication methods, milestones, and schedules; identifying information gaps; and preparing public-facing materials such as fact sheets, FAQs, presentations, newsletters, and website content. The consultant will help explain project alternatives, educational and facilities needs, costs, financing assumptions, potential state reimbursement, and estimated taxpayer impacts. The consultant will represent the project at designated public meetings and forums, facilitate discussions, coordinate responses to public inquiries, track community feedback, and support referendum-related information and engagement. Proposals must describe the firm's qualifications and comparable experience, approach and work plan, work samples, project team, and fees by phase. The solicitation also requests at least three comparable references, litigation and judgment disclosures, and specified proposal forms and statements. Communications prepared for the project require Board review and approval before release.
