Description
The City of San Clemente is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for rehabilitation of the existing restroom building at San Luis Rey Park. The work includes demolition; accessible parking spaces, pavement markings, detectable warning surfaces, and concrete walkways; new CMU walls, concrete slabs, structural metal, fencing, perforated metal screens, gates, louvers, doors, hardware, and wood framing; pressure washing, painting, gypsum board, epoxy flooring with integral cove base, signage, and restroom accessories. The scope also includes replacement and installation of accessible plumbing fixtures, sanitary and domestic water piping, electrical service components, LED lighting, controls, temporary sanitary facilities, irrigation modifications, a gravel drywell, construction waste diversion, and related site protection and cleanup. Bidders must hold a California Class B contractor license and current Department of Industrial Relations registration. The contract requires completion within 85 working days after the written Notice to Proceed, a 10% bid security, and 100% performance and payment bonds after award. The engineer's estimate is $912,160.
