Description
Iowa State University seeks a large-capacity, facility-connected steam sterilizer (autoclave) for undergraduate microbiology teaching laboratories. The requested equipment must support sterilization of biohazardous waste, laboratory media, supplies and glassware, and liquids; include programmable controls, cycle documentation and data export, vacuum-assisted sterilization, and meet the listed pressure-vessel and electrical safety certifications. A minimum one-year manufacturer warranty is required. The offer must include delivery, installation, startup, operational verification, and end-user training. Removal and disposal of the existing autoclave is strongly desired. Vendors must provide technical literature, an itemized quotation, warranty information, and responses to the specified technical, software/connectivity, installation, support, delivery, and shipping questions. Three outside references for similar products or services are requested; failure to provide them may result in the offer being deemed non-compliant. The solicitation also requests a five-year extended warranty as an optional priced item.
