Description
Argonne National Laboratory seeks a custom industrial furnace for research and development testing of fuel-flexible burners using natural gas and hydrogen blends ranging from 0% to 100% hydrogen. The furnace must accommodate direct- and indirect-fired configurations and include specialized burner interfaces, refractory and insulation, cooling tubes, exhaust components, optical windows, and instrumentation ports. The supplier is responsible for design, fabrication, delivery, installation support, and commissioning; final utility connections and the burner are provided by the laboratory. Design and fabrication occur at the supplier’s facility, with installation and commissioning at the laboratory. Required deliverables include engineering drawings and calculations, a 3D CAD model, operating and maintenance documentation, safety limits, quality and compliance records, and a commissioning report. Offers will be evaluated on a lowest-price, technically acceptable basis.
