Description
El Monte Union High School District is soliciting a Class B licensed contractor for the Arroyo High School Site Preparation and Portable Relocation Project. The work includes demolition, grading, hardscape, underground utility infrastructure, foundations and support interfaces, utility extensions, accessible transitions, paving and asphalt restoration, temporary fencing, and coordination with the District's separate portable-building vendor. The District's vendor will furnish, deliver, and place the new portable buildings; the contractor will relocate and place four existing portable buildings at the south parking lot and install or coordinate required ramps and accessible transitions. The contractor must provide electrical, low-voltage, and fire-alarm demolition, relocation, reconnection, utility tie-ins, testing, and final connections, along with related concrete, treated-wood foundation interfaces, siding and flashing repairs, painting, signage, fencing, parking bumpers, pavement markings, and closeout work shown in the contract documents. The project requires prequalification, prevailing-wage and public-works compliance, fleet compliance documentation, and compliance with the El Monte Union High School District Continuity of Work Agreement, including required Letters of Assent for the prime contractor and subcontractors. Addendum No. 3 incorporates Statewide Educational Wrap Up Program provisions, including mandatory enrollment for eligible contractors and off-site insurance requirements. The engineer's estimate is $6,900,000, and the contract time is 70 calendar days. Addendum No. 5 changes the bid deadline to October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
