Description
The City of Aurora is soliciting bids for the 211–221 Gale Street Sanitary Service Relocation Project. The work includes installing approximately 190 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer, relocating and reconnecting approximately six existing 6-inch sanitary services, installing approximately 364 linear feet of 1-inch trenchless copper water service, and replacing any lead water service lines encountered within the project limits through the applicable water meters. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, excavation, directional drilling, utility protection, flow bypassing, traffic control, disposal, temporary and permanent pavement, curb, sidewalk, driveway, landscaping, and other restoration. The solicitation also requires references for similar construction projects, an IDOT prequalification certificate, an apprenticeship or training program certification, a subcontractor list, eligibility and tax certifications, a bidder’s certification, a local vendor preference application, and a compliant certificate of insurance. Final project completion is required by November 13, 2026.
