Description
The City of Aurora is seeking vendors to supply and deliver structural firefighter protective gear complying with the current edition of NFPA 1970 and applicable OSHA requirements. The requested items include complete firefighter protective jackets/coats and pants, protective boots, and protective helmets with specified eye-shield and reflective-trim features. Jackets and pants must meet detailed requirements for materials, thermal and moisture protection, sizing, fit, reinforcement, labeling, traceability, warranty, repair support, and U.S. manufacture. Boots and helmets must meet the specified NFPA requirements and product descriptions. Vendors must provide thirty-five samples of each item offered, including pants, jackets, helmets, and boots, for a two-week fire department evaluation; samples must be provided at no cost. The proposal must include a technical proposal, pricing entered in the electronic pricing table, references, required certifications and acknowledgments, and other requested vendor information. The selected vendor must provide delivery, garment training, repair and warranty support, and related asset-tracking information. The solicitation lists quantities of five jackets, five pants, two boots, and two helmets, with unit pricing requested for each item.
