Description
The City of Aurora is seeking qualified, licensed arboricultural contractors to provide as-needed routine and corrective tree pruning, hazardous-tree mitigation, complete tree removal, stump grinding, brush and debris removal, landscape restoration, and emergency response services. Work will occur on public rights-of-way, parks, municipal facilities, and other city-owned properties, primarily through individual work orders. The scope includes furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, tools, traffic control, transportation, and incidentals; maintaining public safety; coordinating with utilities; disposing of debris; and restoring disturbed areas. The contractor must support emergency responses on a 24-hour, 365-day basis, with response categories of two, four, and eight hours. Proposals must include a technical proposal, qualifications and staffing information, at least three similar project references, a project approach, pricing through the electronic pricing table, a 10% bid guarantee, ISA certification, required certifications and acknowledgments, and any applicable apprenticeship documentation. The initial contract term is one year, with up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. A 100% performance bond is required after award, and a payment bond is required if services are subcontracted.
