Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source contract for fire alarm testing and maintenance at the John Cochran VA Medical Center. The work involves supporting proprietary Notifier and Premier fire alarm systems, including the ONYXWorks workstation and Verifier Tools software; updating device configurations and graphics; importing AutoCAD floor plans; and performing other tasks needed to keep the system fully functional and current. Services must address applicable National Fire Protection Association requirements, including NFPA 13, 14, 17A, 20, 25, 70, 72, 90A, 96, and 101. Interested parties must demonstrate OEM authorization, provide evidence that technicians are trained and authorized by Notifier, confirm that replacement parts will be OEM, and submit evidence of successful prior Notifier/Premier repair services of similar scope and complexity. The notice states that Tech Electronics is the sole factory-authorized supplier and that no competitive solicitation will be posted.
