Description
The City of Dallas is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from general contractors for job order contracting projects involving major maintenance, historic preservation, life-safety upgrades, and minor construction at various existing City facilities. Potential work includes accessibility improvements, building-envelope components, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior and exterior finishes, millwork and cabinetry, roof repair or replacement, waterproofing, and minor civil work supporting buildings. The opportunity is not limited to floor care; proposers must be general contractors capable of providing more than a single subservice. The contract has a two-year initial term with two one-year renewal options. The total $5 million amount is shared among all awarded contractors. A 33% Small Business Enterprise participation goal applies to the overall contract, with proposers expected to identify anticipated prime and subcontractor participation and make continuous good-faith efforts. The pre-proposal conference is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. The current submission-only opportunity requires a PDF proposal upload and states that the original solicitation should be referenced.
