Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Idaho State Office requires digital inventory services to advance its Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Program. This initiative aims to digitally inventory, spatially document, field validate, and risk-rank AML features across approximately 12 million acres of BLM-managed land in Idaho. The project will utilize advanced technologies, including LiDAR, to update existing records, identify unmapped features, and enhance spatial precision. The final deliverables will include a standardized dataset for strategic work planning and a comprehensive, AMSCM-compatible dataset for upload into the BLM's AML Site Cleanup Module system. The scope of work includes contract administration, project planning and document review, digital inventory of features such as shafts, adits, and waste rock dumps, and the application of a BLM-provided risk prioritization matrix. The contractor will be responsible for collecting attribute data, ensuring data quality and transferability, and developing FGDC/DOI-compliant metadata. An optional task involves developing a fieldwork plan to physically confirm high-risk areas. The period of performance is expected to end on April 3, 2028.
