Description
The United States Forest Service (USFS) requires a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for its aircraft fleet. The system must be a configurable, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software solution currently in use within the aviation industry. The CMMS will serve as a single source for maintenance tracking and logistical support for aircraft, parts, and tooling. It needs to be interoperable with existing data formats such as Excel, Word, and PDF, and capable of integrating data from current applications and in-house spreadsheets. The system will support various functionalities including aircraft maintenance management, work order management, parts management, labor tracking, and technical directive integration. It must also be compatible with modern web browsers and operating systems, with all communications encrypted. Key requirements include the ability to track aircraft usage, manage maintenance work orders, generate reports, and handle supply chain logistics. The system must also comply with Section 508 accessibility standards and adhere to strict cybersecurity protocols, including multi-factor authentication and FedRAMP compliance if the software is proprietary and hosted as a SaaS solution.
