Description
The Mississippi Department of Human Services, Division of Child Support Enforcement, seeks a full-time contract Program Specialist to provide administrative, operational, and technical support. Duties include processing intergovernmental transmittals, responding to credit bureau disputes, handling mail and data entry, resolving interstate case requests, assisting with system modernization and testing, processing complaints, and supporting other child support operations and special projects. In-state travel is required, and the position is on-site at the agency's state office. Applicants must have a high school diploma, at least three years of child support enforcement experience, and at least three years of experience with the Mississippi Electronic Tracking of Support System (METSS). Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook, along with professional writing and oral communication skills, is required. A bachelor's degree in public administration, business, or a related field is preferred. The contract is full-time, approximately 2,080 hours per state fiscal year, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; overtime is not permitted. Compensation is $21.65 per hour, inclusive of administrative costs and travel.
