Description
The City of Hot Springs seeks a lump-sum bid to provide labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to construct a 100-foot-long by 20-foot-wide by 10-foot-high open-front equipment pole barn. The wood-frame structure must use treated lumber, with seven 12-foot bays and one 16-foot bay, and be covered on the top, sides, and back with standard-gauge Galvalume metal. Posts must be set in concrete; the front is to remain open. The work includes structural bracing, trim, ridge cap, closures, fasteners, flashing, and cleanup, and must comply with applicable building and safety codes. Bidders must state the number of working days required and provide warranty information. The bid package also calls for a warranty certificate, liability insurance certificate, applicable bid security, contractor licensing certificate, business-license information, and other bidder responses. A bid bond is required for public construction bids over $35,000; the terms specify 5% bid security and a 100% payment/performance bond for contracts exceeding $35,000. The City may award only portions within its available budget.
