Description
The City of Hot Springs seeks a contractor to provide labor and materials to reglaze 552 steel-framed windows in an aircraft storage hangar and replace approximately 100 missing or broken panes with 1/8-inch glass. The bid must separately provide a cost comparison for a plexiglass-type alternative. Work includes removing deteriorated glazing compound, preparing frames, securing and resealing panes, curing and painting, and site cleanup. The contractor must coordinate equipment and materials with airport management while the active hangar is used during evenings. Bidders must address whether work can begin within two weeks of award, discuss installation quality in relation to weather and seasonal temperatures, and state the number of working days needed for completion. The bid is a lump-sum price for the completed project. Required response attachments include a product warranty certificate, certificate of liability insurance, bid security when the public construction contract exceeds $35,000, and an Arkansas commercial contractor licensing certificate. The solicitation also requires business-license information and a certificate of good standing; subcontractor information and related certifications are requested where applicable.
