Description
The City of Hot Springs seeks a contractor to provide labor and equipment for road bores on an as-needed basis for water and wastewater utility work. The City will provide the materials, prepare and close the bore sites, and obtain required permits; the contractor must perform the bores and pull the encasement through the bore to allow pipe insertion. Pricing is requested per foot for bores ranging from 2 to 36 inches, with a separate price for excessive hard rock. Bores are typically under 100 feet, and bids with a 100-foot minimum will not be accepted. The contract is for one year with four additional 12-month terms, subject to annual budget approval, and may renew annually unless either party gives 30 days’ written notice of cancellation. The bid requires pricing and a guaranteed response time, along with specified business and licensing information and a certificate of liability insurance. The solicitation also requires a bid security of 5% for bids over $35,000 and payment and performance bonds of 100% of the contract sum for contracts exceeding $35,000.
