Description
The Alexander County Department of Social Services is soliciting bids for the provision of daily hot and shelf-stable meals, Monday through Friday. The contract will involve preparing at least seventy-five meals for delivery to two congregate sites and packaging forty-five meals for home delivery. Bid specifications and instructions can be obtained from the Department of Social Services - Alexander County, located at 604 7th St., SW, Taylorsville, North Carolina 28681, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Alternatively, interested bidders can call the Department of Social Services at (828) 632-1080 to request a nutrition packet be faxed or emailed, provided the bidder supplies the necessary fax or email information. Alexander County will begin reviewing submitted bids on Monday, June 29th, 2026, with the aim of selecting a plan by July 1st, 2026. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
