Description
The City of Tybee Island is soliciting proposals for Phase I of an update to its historic resources survey in the southern portion of Tybee Island. The selected consultant will conduct an initial windshield survey and comprehensive field survey of up to 500 historic resources constructed before 1986; perform archival and background research; coordinate public outreach and at least one public meeting; document resources with a minimum of two photographs each; enter information into GNAHRGIS; and prepare maps and a Historic Resources Survey Report. The City will provide the existing 2016–2017 survey documentation, and its Community Development Department may provide a GIS layer map of the Phase I boundary, legal parcels, and street names. Required deliverables include preliminary, second-draft, and final survey reports and maps; approved GNAHRGIS records; photographs; field documentation; research materials; tables; and other project files. The work must follow applicable Secretary of the Interior and Georgia Historic Preservation Division standards. The total project budget is $20,500, including a $12,300 Certified Local Government grant and the City's contribution. Proposals must include a phase-by-phase budget, qualifications, similar-project experience, references, resumes, project approach, and quality-assurance information.
