Description
Eielson Air Force Base is seeking a contractor to provide commercial high-definition (HD) satellite television services for the Gold Rush Inn. The requirement includes furnishing, installing, and maintaining a centralized headend system integrated into the property's existing coaxial distribution infrastructure. The service must provide a stable, turn-key, high-definition satellite or commercial television signal to 252 guest rooms and common areas. The channel lineup must include a base tier equivalent to or exceeding "DISH America's Top 120" package, HD programming for all channels broadcast in HD, and local network affiliates (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and PBS). The system must also have the capability to add sports, premium, international, music, and other specialty channels in the future without a complete headend system replacement. The contractor will be responsible for the entire system's maintenance and repair, from the signal source down to the room wall outlets. This includes remote monitoring, customer support during business hours, and emergency support for major outages (defined as affecting the entire property, a floor, or a block of rooms), which must be resolved within 24 hours of notification. Minor outages (affecting individual rooms) require remote troubleshooting within one business day, with on-site resolution within two business days if necessary. The contractor must assess and potentially repair or upgrade the existing coaxial infrastructure to meet signal quality requirements, with all associated costs included in the firm-fixed price. The government will provide electrical power, internet connectivity for remote monitoring, and secure space for the headend equipment.
