Description
The Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors is seeking one designated paralegal to assist board counsel with legal work concerning the board’s statutory and regulatory duties, open-records and open-meetings requirements, procurement matters, litigation, and administrative hearings. Duties include attending all board meetings; drafting memoranda, correspondence, and other documents; assisting with proposed regulations and required forms; and supporting administrative proceedings under KRS Chapter 13B and civil actions. The contractor may not designate other paralegals to perform or bill for the services. Applicants must have a paralegal studies degree from a regionally accredited institution and submit a transcript. Proposals must address experience in administrative and professional regulatory law, state-board rulemaking, professional counseling laws, and work with state licensing boards, and must include resumes or CVs demonstrating relevant experience and legal-document and software proficiency. The initial contract term is anticipated to run from November 15, 2026, through June 30, 2028, with discretionary additional two-year renewals to conclude cases in progress. Compensation is stated as $40 per hour.
