Description
The United States Navy is seeking a contractor to completely repair or modify one junction box, NSN 5975-01-2695248, quantity one, for delivery to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The work includes inspection, refurbishment, replacement of unusable parts, testing, traceability, quality assurance, and certification in accordance with the applicable technical data package, drawings, military specifications, and Contract Support Library requirements. The item is designated as special-emphasis material used in a critical shipboard system, and the contractor must maintain configuration control and provide required compliance and test documentation. The acquisition is a 100% total small-business set-aside. The notice states that the specific set-aside type may later be addressed through an applicable HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business, woman-owned small business, or historically Black college or university/minority institution clause. The request is for a not-to-exceed quote subject to downward negotiations; after award, a detailed repair proposal will be used to definitize the order.
