Description
This invitation to bid covers approximately 3,000 square feet of interior renovation, vestibule reconstruction, an exterior stair addition, and associated architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire-protection, demolition, glazing, finish, structured-cabling, and fire-alarm work. The facility will remain occupied during construction, with daily debris removal, limited laydown space, and an alternate for after-hours work. The project includes a $30,000 allowance for unforeseen circumstances, and bidders must state the projected duration on the Bid Form. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for general contractors. Bids must include the completed Bid Form and its attachments, including the subcontractor list, non-collusion statement, employee drug-testing affidavit, contractor-qualifications affidavit, and bid security. The bid bond must equal 10% of the bid price and additive alternates. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required upon contract execution. Delaware and City of Wilmington trade licensing, prevailing-wage compliance, drug-testing, craft-training, insurance, and subcontractor requirements apply.
