Description
The City of Monterey is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals with experience in conducting grant writing and management services. The selected firm or individual will be responsible for researching and identifying grants, writing grant applications in collaboration with City staff, and ensuring grant compliance. The contract will be for an initial one-year term, with the possibility of up to three one-year extensions. Proposals must include a scope of work and cost, outlining methodology, techniques, and procedures for applying, tracking, and managing grant applications. A separate fee schedule should identify fees for ongoing services (e.g., monthly retainer) and project-based fees for discrete assignments like individual grant applications. Firms may submit up to two proposals, one with a monthly retainer model and/or one with a project-based model. Additionally, proposals must detail the organization's qualifications, relevant background experience, and capabilities. A description of the team/consultant organization, a work plan identifying assigned personnel for each task, and the identity of the project manager and day-to-day contact person are required. Any sub-consultants to be used must also be listed, along with their expertise. A proposed schedule for undertaking the tasks, including the frequency of virtual meetings with City lead staff, should be included. Finally, at least three client references with phone numbers for relevant work are required.
