Description
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is soliciting bids for non-revenue vehicle car washing services. The contractor will be responsible for providing equipment, materials, and personnel to perform exterior and interior washing and drying of VTA-owned non-revenue vehicles. Services include standard and oversized vehicle washing in tunnels or hand washes, as well as standard-sized full detail packages. The services are to be performed within three miles of four specified geographic locations in San Jose and Mountain View. Vehicles requiring tunnel washing will receive exterior washing, towel drying, and window cleaning, along with interior cleaning of surfaces and windows, vacuuming, and dusting without added odor or fragrance. Vehicles not fitting through tunnels will receive the same services. Full detail packages require a special ticket from VTA authorizing the expenditure. Quantities are estimated to range from five to forty vehicle washes per location per month. The contract will be for a base term of three years with two additional one-year options.
