Description
The City of Milpitas is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award multiple blanket purchase orders for a five-year term to qualified vendors for as-required Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) supplies, equipment, tools, parts, and related repairs. The City requires these for various maintenance purposes including streets, utilities, parks, trees and landscaping, fleet, and facilities. Vendors may bid on one or more of five supply categories: General MRO and Facilities Maintenance Supplies, Fleet Maintenance Supplies, Park and Landscaping Maintenance Supplies, Utility Operations and Maintenance Supplies, and Street Maintenance Supplies. The City intends to award multiple contracts per category to ensure adequate capacity. Awarded vendors must comply with sustainability requirements for janitorial paper products, including minimum postconsumer recycled content percentages. Vendors may also be asked to perform incidental non-licensed related repairs. Pricing is based on a percentage discount off list price per category.
