Polk School District is requesting pricing for the supply and installation of a greenhouse at Cedartown Middle School, located at 1644 Syble Brannon Parkway, Cedartown, Georgia. The greenhouse must be 16 feet wide, 30 feet long, with 6-foot sidewalls, and will be assembled on a slab provided by the school district. Specifications include Allied square 2" x 2" 14 gauge column posts and bows, 6 runs of Allied Gatorshield 1-3/8" round purlins, extruded aluminum ridge cap, and extruded aluminum roof and eave glazing systems with 8-millimeter clear twin wall polycarbonate glazing. The contractor must provide and install all exhaust fans, ventilation, heating, doors, plumbing, temperature controls, shade cloth, emergency lights, exit signs, fire extinguishers, benches, irrigation, and electrical work. Sealed engineer drawings are required, and the greenhouse must meet specified wind and snow loads.
