Description
The San Antonio Water System seeks a contractor to clean and remove accumulated lime slurry solids from a section of existing 54-inch steel pipeline at Agua Vista Station. The scope includes labor, specialty equipment, supervision, coordination, mobilization and demobilization, draining residual water, removal and disposal of approximately 30 cubic yards or 35 tons of scale buildup, prevention of waste runoff, rinsing and spray disinfection in accordance with AWWA standards, and disposal of waste and construction materials. The contractor must provide video recording and photographic documentation of the pipe interior before and after the work, complete the work during the seven-calendar-day shutdown from December 6 through December 12, 2026, and meet SAWS safety, confined-space, security, insurance, and project-specific safety-plan requirements. Bidders must have at least five years of experience draining, cleaning, and video recording or photographing large-diameter potable-water piping within strict time constraints. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder offering the overall lowest price.
