Description

Collier County is soliciting licensed contractors to supply, deliver, and install premium sod throughout county roadway rights-of-way, medians, parks, athletic fields, and county-owned or leased facilities. Varieties include Bahia, Bermudagrass, St. Augustinegrass, Paspalum, and Zoysia. Ordering options include county pickup, delivery and off-loading, full-service installation, rolled sod, pallet charges, staking or pinning on slopes, extensive sod-bed preparation, and hydroseeding. Contractors must provide labor, materials, equipment, fuel, delivery, installation, debris removal, and disposal as applicable. Work includes herbicide treatment, grading, soil preparation, quality inspection, irrigation coordination, utility coordination through Sunshine 811, and Maintenance of Traffic setup for roadway work. The contract is intended for a three-year initial term with two one-year renewal options, and awards may be made by category to primary, secondary, and tertiary contractors. References for three to ten similar projects completed within the last five years are required, along with an FDOT-approved Maintenance of Traffic or Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate Level certification with the bid.
