Description
The Borough of Seaside Park is soliciting proposals for a special legal counsel/labor attorney for the year ending December 31, 2027. Services include advising on labor-related issues; filing and defending lawsuits and claims assigned by the Mayor and Council; preparing legal documents; advising on litigation, regulations, ordinances, insurance-carrier interactions, and inquiries from residents or commercial enterprises; preparing reports; and attending meetings as requested. Applicants must be admitted to practice law in New Jersey for at least five years and demonstrate at least five years of municipal-law and municipal-litigation experience, including experience representing a municipality with similar demographics. Proposals must address qualifications, staffing and assigned personnel, relevant experience, New Jersey presence, conflicts of interest, past and present public-entity clients, and the required ownership, non-collusion, bid, and statutory certifications. Two hard copies and one digital-media copy are required. Commercial general liability coverage of at least $1,000,000 is required, with the Borough named as an additional insured.
