Description
The City of McKinney is soliciting proposals for individual and aggregate stop-loss coverage for its self-funded medical benefit program. Coverage must include both medical and pharmacy benefits for active employees, pre-65 retirees, COBRA participants, and dependents, with nationwide geographic coverage and a preferred situs state of Texas. The requested effective date is January 1, 2027. Required service capabilities include eligibility and enrollment support, customer service, billing if available, claims administration, and standard and ad hoc reporting. Proposals will be evaluated on cost, financial stability, claims processing, and past performance. Respondents must submit pricing and plan terms using the Stop Loss RFP Submission Form, address specified deductible and aggregate coverage options, identify financial ratings and service capabilities, and provide active and terminated references. The solicitation states an initial one-year contract term with up to four additional one-year renewal options. Insurance certificates are required before commencing work, including commercial general liability, workers' compensation and employer's liability, and business automobile liability coverage.
