Description
The City of Lucas is soliciting sealed bids for construction of the McGarity 0.9 million-gallon ground storage tank project in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract documents prepared by Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. Bidders must provide all information required by the Proposal Form. A bid must include either a cashier’s or certified check for at least 5% of the total maximum bid price or a bid bond in the same amount. The successful contractor must provide 100% payment, performance, and maintenance bonds; the maintenance bond must remain in effect for two years from final acceptance. A contractor’s certificate of insurance must name the City as an additional insured, be issued by a Texas-licensed carrier rated A: VIII or better by A.M. Best, and include workers’ compensation coverage.
