Description
The Dakota County Community Development Agency is soliciting bids for a three-year contract to provide annual dryer vent cleaning services at 30 senior buildings, one youth building, and one public-housing building throughout Dakota County. The work includes inspecting vent systems, hoses, and connections; cleaning vents with specialized vacuums, rotary brushes, and air compressors; cleaning dryer lint traps and screens; and repairing or replacing damaged components. The purpose is to maintain safe and efficient dryer operation, reduce fire hazards, and improve indoor air quality. The contractor must prepare annual schedules, coordinate building access and resident notifications, provide visible identification for service personnel and subcontractors, follow safety and PPE requirements, and submit a detailed report for each building within 24 hours after service. The contract covers annual service during 2027 through 2029, with additional hourly pricing requested for servicing CDA-managed single-family homes, townhomes, duplexes, and fourplexes during and outside normal business hours. Bidders must submit the Bid Form and Contractor's Qualification Statement, demonstrate at least three years of relevant experience for the contractor and project superintendent, and provide three similar projects and three current multifamily customer references upon request.
