Description
The City of Apple Valley is soliciting bids for improvements to a trail along 140th Street. The work includes removal of curb and gutter and concrete walk, tree clearing, grubbing, common excavation, aggregate base, a prefabricated modular block retaining wall, river rock, metal edging, vinyl-coated wire fencing, bituminous trail construction, concrete walk, concrete curb and gutter, pedestrian curb ramps, truncated dome panels, seeding, and related items. The project also includes salvaging and reinstalling existing castings with HDPE adjustment rings and an infiltration-and-inflow barrier, as well as furnishing and installing a new R-3067-V manhole casting with HDPE adjustment rings and an infiltration-and-inflow barrier. Bids must include five-percent bid security, and the successful contractor must satisfy Minnesota responsible-contractor requirements. The project is subject to Minnesota prevailing-wage and truck-rental rates.
