Description
Pittsburgh Water is seeking bids for hydrofluorosilicic acid used in municipal water treatment. The solicitation estimates annual usage at 400 U.S. tons, delivered by bulk tanker; typical release orders are approximately 4,000–4,500 gallons. The chemical must meet the specified ANSI/AWWA and NSF requirements, and the supplier must provide delivery equipment and labor, meet delivery and safety requirements, and respond to emergency orders with 24–48 hours’ notice. The procurement has two phases: an unpriced technical proposal followed, for approved bidders, by an online reverse auction for pricing. The technical submission includes required forms and statements, while references and safety data sheets are optional at proposal submission or may be requested/provided later as specified. The contract is a requirements contract with a one-year initial term and up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual written agreement.
