Description
The City seeks a supplier to provide and deliver 50% bulk, diaphragm-grade sodium hydroxide on an as-needed basis to its Water Pollution Control Facility. The product must meet or exceed American Water Works Association standards B501-03 and B501-08. The City estimates approximately 700 tons during the initial contract term, but does not guarantee the quantity. Bids must include a unit price covering supply, delivery, insurance, permits, testing, and related fees, along with descriptive chemical specification sheets and ANSI/NSF 60 certification identifying the end supplier as the certified agent. The supplier must provide 24-hour emergency delivery service; routine deliveries are accepted weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The initial term is one year, anticipated January 1 through December 31, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. The bid response also requires three similar-scope customer references from the past three years, account personnel and safety information, pricing and lead-time responses, and specified insurance documentation. A local-business preference may apply to eligible businesses in Linn County.
