Description
The United States Navy is soliciting a connectorized, single-connector hull penetrator assembly, part number CPG 1025/2-600, for use in a crucial shipboard system. The assembly must include washers CPG 1022/1-006 and CPG 1025/1-005, use QQ-N-286 material in the specified annealed and age-hardened condition, and comply with the applicable CPG 1025 drawings and requirements. Special wiring, inboard cables, and pressure-proof receptacle caps are not required. The requirement includes destructive government first article testing, with one unit delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The contractor must maintain an ISO 9001 quality system, material traceability, chemical and mechanical certifications, nondestructive and other specified testing, inspection records, configuration control, and extensive objective quality evidence. Certification data must be submitted through Wide Area Workflow for review and acceptance before shipment. Final delivery is due within 365 days after the effective date of the resulting contract, and certification data is due 20 days before scheduled delivery. The solicitation states that past performance will be considered in evaluating offers and that the resulting order will be a DO-rated national-defense order.
