The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service is seeking a used self-propelled swather, including John Deere 4895, 4995, or R450 models or equivalent CNH models from 2004–2013, or an alternative used John Deere F350M or equivalent front rotary swather mounted on a tractor from 2003–2011. The self-propelled option must include an air-suspended seat, mirrors, air conditioning, an instructional seat, a rotary or sickle header between 11 and 16.5 feet wide, fewer than 3,500 hours, GreenStar readiness, auto-steer capability, GS5 Plus or equivalent monitoring, GreenStar 7000 or 7500 or equivalent systems, and a diesel engine. The tractor-mounted option must make windrows, exceed 11 feet in width, include a front three-point hitch and PTO, and have fewer than 10,000 hours, with specified GreenStar and transmission preferences. The equipment must be delivered to either the Froid Research Farm or the Northern Plains Agricultural Research Laboratory. This is a total small-business set-aside Request for Quote for a commercial item, and quotations are due September 17, 2026. The amendment updates the equipment requirements and requires offerors to acknowledge receipt of the amendment before the submission deadline.
