Description
The Town of Dunstable is soliciting bids for restoration of approximately 750 linear feet of historic wood fencing at Central Cemetery. The work includes inspection, selective removal and replacement of deteriorated components, repair of approximately 40 loose or failed joints above granite posts, surface preparation, oil-based priming, and application of at least two exterior finish coats. Replacement components must be wood, match the existing historic design, and use heat-treated pine except for cedar top boards or rails. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, protection, containment, cleanup, disposal, and all incidental work. The cemetery will remain in use during the project, and the contractor must protect graves, monuments, markers, landscaping, granite posts, and other property. Potentially lead-containing coatings must be handled under applicable safety, containment, worker-protection, and disposal requirements; uncontrolled dry scraping, sanding, and abrasive blasting are prohibited. All work is subject to review and acceptance by the Town and the Dunstable Cemetery Commission. Prevailing wages apply. The estimated project value is $60,000, a 5% bid deposit is required, and a 50% payment bond must be submitted with the signed contract. Bidders must submit OSHA 10 certification, a copy of any required license or registration, three recent references, a completed price quote, Certificate of Non-Collusion, State Tax Certification, and required bid certifications.
