Description
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is requesting proposals for comprehensive healthcare services at the Jefferson County Jail Facility. The scope includes on-site mental health services, weekly physician visits, 24/7 on-call availability, dental services, nursing coverage, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, medical records management, healthcare staffing and training, utilization review, and administrative support. The provider must also coordinate hospitalization, laboratory and diagnostic testing, specialty referrals, emergency transportation, surgery, dialysis, vision and hearing services, and other off-site care. Additional requirements include employee physicals and drug testing, tuberculosis testing for correctional staff, flu vaccinations for inmates, compliance with correctional healthcare accreditation standards, and assumption of specified medical, equipment, and waste-disposal costs. Proposals must provide annual pricing for three nursing-staffing options and separate rates for vacant nursing positions.
