Description
Clemson University is looking to establish a fixed-price contract with multiple vendors to provide maintenance and repair services for insulation on HVAC and plumbing systems. This includes repairs to existing insulation, and in some cases, removing old insulation and installing new, more efficient insulation. The scope of work covers various piping systems (chilled, hot water, steam, condensate), tanks, heat exchangers, and HVAC ductwork. The contract specifies that the work will follow Clemson's Greenbook standards for HVAC and Plumbing Insulation. The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and professional services necessary to complete the work. Invoices must identify the correct PO number and itemize rates. Materials must be new, certified asbestos-free, and suitable for the application. While emergency/after-hours work is not anticipated, rates for such situations will not exceed 1.5 times the per-man-hour rate. The contract does not include work on mechanical systems themselves or other regulated trade work, which will be performed by others.
