Norfolk Naval Shipyard intends to pursue a sole-source requirement for repair of an MTS 688-class emergency standby diesel generator. The work includes stoning the No. 1 ESF diesel generator slip rings; performing insulation-resistance checks and Total Indicated Runout measurements to establish a satisfactory condition for measuring slip-ring circularity; and replacing, sanding, and seating the brushes. This notice is a capability inquiry rather than a complete solicitation. Interested vendors must request the solicitation and submit a technical abilities statement to demonstrate capability for consideration for future requirements.
