Description
The project requires construction services to replace the clean steam generation system serving hospital sterilizers, washers, and humidification systems. Work includes phased demolition and removal of the existing steam-to-steam heat exchanger, feedwater storage tank and pumps, associated piping, and the existing Sanipak; installation of new N+1 steam-to-steam heat exchangers, a feedwater tank and pumps, a reverse osmosis system, and stainless-steel piping to the sterile processing department; and integration with the existing Siemens Desigo building automation interface. The contractor must coordinate phasing to maintain uninterrupted steam service in a continuously occupied hospital, and provide startup, commissioning, and training. A mandatory site visit is an eligibility condition. The bid package requires a bid form, bid security, and ANTHC representations and certifications; the bid bond must equal 5% of the maximum bid price. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be selected. Alaska Native/American Indian bidder preference may apply, and comparable project experience at a major Alaskan hospital within the past 10 years is required when qualifications are requested.
