Description
The Comanche Nation seeks an architectural and engineering firm to design a new approximately 31,700-square-foot daycare facility in Elgin, Oklahoma. The requested work includes renderings, a site survey, coordinated architectural and engineering plans, stamped and sealed construction documents for bidding, and an engineer’s construction cost estimate. The design must meet the listed 2024 International Codes and 2023 National Electrical Code and receive approval from the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal’s office. The facility program includes six classrooms, 15 restrooms, storage areas, a multipurpose gymnasium, indoor playroom, library/quiet room, kitchen, reception and conference areas, and other support spaces, as well as a splash pad and playground. Required plans cover site utilities and grading, foundation and structural systems, life safety, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, sewage, finishes, alarms, access control, fire suppression, and storm shelter design. The solicitation evaluates professional qualifications, capacity, past performance, eligibility, and Native American preference. Proposals must include five recent past-performance projects and documentation of Native American ownership; Comanche Nation TERO certification is required within 15 calendar days after award, and an updated Comanche Nation business license must be on file.
