Description
The City of Lawton is seeking one or more landscaping contractors to provide regular, weekly maintenance for selected public grounds throughout the city. The scope includes maintenance of turf, planting beds, trees, shrubs, flowers, mulch, planters, irrigation systems at designated sites, medians, sidewalks, curbs, litter, and related landscape facilities. Contractors must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, traffic control, insurance, weekly site inspections, minor repairs, cleanup, and written monthly reports. The contractor's principal or an approved representative must attend the monthly Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority meeting to present the report and discuss proposed projects. The proposal must include a detailed maintenance plan for each listed site, address the stated general conditions, and provide unit prices for mulch, edging, live goods, turf renovation, tree and shrub removal, stump grinding, and related work. The solicitation identifies alternate sites and permits the City to split the award among multiple contractors. The initial contract term is one year beginning January 31, 2027, with up to three additional one-year extensions. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, general and automobile liability, and professional liability, with specified minimum limits. A certificate of insurance is required before contract execution, while a current general-liability and workers' compensation certificate must be submitted with the proposal.
