Description
The City of Batavia is seeking Statements of Qualifications from an engineering consultant to provide Phase I and Phase II engineering services for the rehabilitation of East Wilson Street from the Wilson Street Bridge to Raddant Road. Potential improvements include pavement removal and resurfacing, patching, binder and surface courses, utility adjustments and coordination, curb and gutter, sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, streetscape improvements, and striping, lane, or parking reconfiguration. The consultant must evaluate project limits, including an IDOT-maintained section, and address maintenance of traffic, access to residences and businesses, fire-station operations, utilities, pedestrian accommodations, bicycle facilities, and stakeholder coordination. Respondents must be prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation for highways—roads and streets, location design studies—reconstruction/major rehabilitation, and special services—surveying. The submission must include the firm's approach, project team and resumes, similar project experience, and required IDOT disclosure statements. At least three recent roadway rehabilitation or reconstruction examples involving Phase I and/or Phase II engineering are required. The selected firm will subsequently be asked to respond to a formal Request for Proposal; Phase I engineering is scheduled for November 2026 through October 2027, and Phase II engineering for November 2027 through April 2028.
