Description
The Bureau of Land Management Socorro Field Office is soliciting quotes for the repair and reconstruction of approximately 6 miles of livestock fence on BLM-administered public land in the Pelona Mountain Area of New Mexico, which was burned by the Buck Fire. The project includes complete removal and replacement of approximately 2 miles of four-wire fence and repair and maintenance of the remaining approximately 4 miles of damaged fence. Work includes installation of barbed-wire gates, stress panels, end panels, corner panels, and drainage-crossing water gaps as needed, in accordance with BLM standard fence specifications and drawings. The contractor must provide all materials, labor, and equipment and perform NM 811 buried-utility locating before construction. Access to portions of the remote work site is limited and may require hand or pack-animal transport of materials. Performance is estimated at 90 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with contract start no later than February 2027 and completion by June 1, 2027. Amendment 0003 cancels the September 15, 2026 site visit because of weather-related site conditions; all other terms remain unchanged.
